Patronise, don’t patronise…

Pronunciation

Patronise.

What a discordant word with two pronunciations and two meanings.

To be patronised can be an insult or an honour. To patronise can be condescending or uplifting. I personally would rather patronise than patronise but then, is the pronunciation relevant or not? In some places, I can report, it most definitely is….although officially noone seems to be sure.

Having stumbled with the complexities of communicating support and on occasion come away feeling a complete moron, I have found that…..

….the only way to ensure success is to remain, simply, a patron!
